Who is it designed for?

This course is intended for those aspiring to supervise and manage in the childcare field. Management in childcare is growing, which can provide a wealth of opportunity for suitably trained candidates

 

What are the entry requirements?

Candidates most hold a FETAC Level 5 Childcare Award, or equivalent also a minimum of 2 days practical work experience within a childcare facility

 

What is the course duration?

6.00pm - 9.00pm one night a week, 7 weeks per module (ECDL 60 contact hours, First Aid 3 days)

Is there an exam to be taken?

Certification is based on a number of modular exams, along with on-going assignments and assessments, as required by FETAC

Who certifies the course?

On successful completion of the course FETAC certifies you with a Level 6 Award in Supervision in Childcare

What is the progression route?

Students who achieve a full FETAC Level 6 Certificate in Childcare Supervision may apply for entry into 2nd year Early Childhood Education (Hons) Degree
