Design Considerations

Understand how audience size, room size and room lighting impacts on planning a presentation

Understand how choice of font colours, number of colours used may elicit different responses from members of an audience

Create and save a new presentation template with features such as: custom background fill effects, logo, spacing between bullet points
Slide Building
- Duplicate or move text, pictures and charts within the presentation and between presentations
- Save a slide in gif, jpeg, bmp format to a location on a drive
- Use the master slides. Edit and format slides in a presentation
Slide Objects
- Insert charts, organisational charts, diagrams and tables to slides
- To demonstrate the ability to work with drawn objects - to order and group objects
- Omit background graphics from a slide or slides
- Apply 3D effects to a drawn object
- Apply graduated background, fill colours, texture, patterns and picture fill effect to a drawn object in a presentation
Editing Images
- Crop and proportionately re-scale an image
- Rotate, flip, mirror an image
- Apply different available effects such as: negative effect, blurred, sharpened, stained glass, embossed etc. to an image
- Convert an image into grayscale, black and white format
- Convert an image into a file format such as: bmp, gif, jpeg format
Charts
- Create a line - column on two axes/mixed chart/graph
- Change graph/chart type such as: a column chart/graph to a line - column on two axes/mixed chart/graph
- Draw a flowchart using built-in flowchart options, other available drawing tools
- Using hyperlinks
- Use action buttons and hyperlink to other slides and to the web
- Create and use a summary slide
Slide Effects/Animations
- Insert sounds and movies with entry animation style, timing for automatically playing
- Change sequence of animations in a slide
- Animate chart elements by series, by category, by elements in series
- Set up a show
- Navigate during a slide show, add annotations to slides
- Rehearse and record timings
